Tilbury 1 Hertford Town 2 (Att 95)

Tilbury suffered a narrow defeat to mid table side Hertford Town on Saturday. Tilbury went into the game with an unchanged line up.

In a fast and furious start, the visitors took the game to Tilbury with Ferrigno seeing his overhead kick go over, before Tommy Wade had the ball in the net, but was denied by the offside flag.

The temperature of the game rose, which saw captain Emiel Aiken pushed in the face off the ball out of sight of the referee. Tilbury's first serious effort of the game came on 25 which saw them take the lead. An Adam Vyse header, saw the ball played through to Emiel Aiken who beat his man to slot low into the net.

On 30 Toby Aromolaran should have done better when he went through unchallenged, but hit wide. Seconds later Clarke Bogard made a fine save from a Ricky Light header.

On 43 Hertford equalised when Brett O'Connor cut in on his left foot and fired towards goal and took a slight deflection passed Bogard.

Both sides had there chances in the second half with Aiken firing low past the post from a quick throw and Charlie Mann saving well 2 minutes later.

On 75 Adul Salami was brave in a tackle to deny Wade, but from the resulting corner, the ball came off the head of the unlucky Charlie Little into the net for the visitors to take the lead. In the final 5 minutes Tilbury had a great chance to earn a point when Toby Aromolaran was through one on one, but hit at the keeper. The visitors saw the game out to overtake Tilbury in the table.

The result sees Tilbury drop to 11th. Tilbury have a week off before travelling to local rivals Grays Athletic next Saturday and continue there search for a new manager.
