Tilbury 1 3 Cheshunt.
A great second half come back by Cheshunt saw them take the points in a low key mid table battle. The afternoon started well for the home side when long serving centre half Danny Smith scored his 2nd career goal with a fine header from a corner. Flack shot over 2 minutes later before another cross from Daniel just needed a touch as it went past the post. Midway through the half Jack Giddens saved well, before Pooley also came to the rescue with a last ditch tackle. Just after the break Milner had a good effort well saved by Giddens.
Cheshunt were a different side after the break and equalised when a long ball fell to the feet of Milner who fended off Pooley before chipping home. On 70 Tilbury had the ball in the net when Duarte tapped home, but was ruled out for offside. Cheshunt finished strongly which saw former Docker Adam Bolle finding the net twice inside a minute, with his first creeping over the line despite the best efforts of Bradley Webb and then rounding Giddens for his 2nd seconds later. He turned from hero to villain within 4 minutes when Bolle was dismissed for a head butt in front of the benches on Pooley, which was the only sour note for the deserved victors.
The result sees Tilbury remain in 13th place. Tilbury travel to Cray Wanderers next Sunday. 3pm kick off.
After the game a disappointed Manager Gary Henty commented "I thought we controlled the first half and deserved our lead, but second half was like another team. We took our foot off the gas and paid the price"
Team: Giddens, Webb, Johnson, Pooley, Smith, Wood (Austin 78), Flack, Carlile, Duarte, Martin Daniel (Aiken 66)
Subs not used: Benoit and Austin
