Tilbury 1 Coggeshall Town 5 (Att 133)
Tilbury's recent revival against play off sides, came down with a huge bump, losing to Coggeshall Town 5-1 in a flatperformance at Chadfieds.
Manager Marc Harrison made a single change with Ryan Ramsey replacing suspended Lewis Smith. It was the visitors who started well. It took just 7 minutes to go in front, when a corner from left landed on the head of unmarked George Allen to score. With Coggeshall dominating, it came as no surprise they increased the lead on 21 when a good cross field ball found Michael Gyasi who ran through unmarked to fire home. It did not take Tilbury to get themselves back in the game as within 2 minutes George Sykes flicked on to Ryan Ramsey who fired home, to reduce the deficit.
Tilbury had a good period of play with Ramsey firing over and Harry Watkins hitting wide when he should have scored. Before the break the dangerous Nwachuku saw his header well tipped over by Rhys Madden.
Coggeshall took the game away from Tilbury early in the second half when a good through ball found Ross Wall who latched on to score. 5 minutes later Nnamdi Nwachuku found the net to make it 4-1. Nwachuku saw his effort well saved again by Madden, before finding the net again for the second time, when Gyasi was brought down in the box by Joe Burgess and scored from the spot.
