Tilbury 4 Redbridge 1 (Att 71)Tilbury returned to winning ways with a comprehensive victory over out of form Redbridge and also inflicting there 11th consecutive defeat. The only disappointment of the evening was the red card received to defender Conor Mead. Redbridge had the better of the opening with Daniel Jones seeing his effort fly over the bar. Redbridge had another effort shortly later with a free kick from James Alexandrou beating Clarke Bogard in goal, but bounced off the crossbar. Tilbury went in front on 17 when two ex Redbridge strikers combined to take the lead. Kurt Smith beat his marker to whip in a cross which Emiel Aikin was on the end of and although his initial effort was saved by Avery, the ball rebounded to back to him to tap home. Harry Cook who caused the away defence problems. almost made it two when he controlled well before he turned and shot just wide .Tilbury came out after the break in determined fashion and made it 2-0 on 55 when Aiken returned the favour for his goal when he put over a great ball and Kurt Smith who was running into the box headed home unmarked. Within 5 minutes Tilbury secured the points when Harry Cook was played in over the top and with most Redbridge players waiting for the flag, due to the player being in a clear offside position, rounded the keeper and slotted into the empty net. The Motormen substitute Sam Williams took exception with the assistant referee and was dismissed for his comments, reducing the visitors to 10 men.On 68 Kurt Smith was again on the score sheet when scored his second of the game beating the keeper who was well off his line. The Dockers were dealt a blow with 12 minutes remaining when centre half Conor Mead was shown a straight red after what appeared to be abusive language aimed towards the official.Further chances came and went for Tilbury, but it was Redbridge who scored the final goal when Daniel Jones fired home past Bogard. The result sees Tilbury move up to 12th. After the game manager Gary Henty commented "Delighted to get back to winning ways and securing the 3 points. We focus on cup football again this weekend when we welcome Barkingside to Chadfields in the FA Trophy"On Saturday, Tilbury are back at Chadfields when they entertain Barkingside in the FA Trophy. 3.00pm.Team Bogard, C Mead, Glozier, Webb, Pooley, Game, Aiken, Carlile, H Cook (Richmond 75), Collins (Martin 69), K Smith (Babalola 75)Unused Subs: Awokoya and Nightingill
