Tilbury for the second successive week, drew with play off rivals with both teams again shut out. The result leaves both sides just outside the play off places,.
Tilbury went into the game with no less than 5 changes to there starting line up following last week's game at home to Hornchurch. Changes were enforced due to injury, but Tilbury did open the game well.
With rain in the air, Aveley had the first chance of the afternoon when Maja had his effort well blocked.
With Tilbury on the front foot, Dwade James saw his cross just evade the on rushing Neil Richmond who could not finish. Lewis Jaggs had an effort just past the half hour, that skidded off the surface. Before the break, Tilbury did have there chances, with James again crossing an this time Toby Aromolaran almost on the end of it. Tilbury went into the break the happier of the sides.

Aveley came out strong after the break and had the ball in the net on 52 when Maja tapped home, but was denied by a late flag for offside. The best chance of the game fell to Daniel McCullock when his shot was brilliantly saved by Lee Butcher who palmed onto the bar. Maja had another effort with 15 minutes to go that also went close. It was Tilbury who finished strong with Reece Hewitt sending some dangerous crosses in and substitute Lewis Francis having his late shot well blocked by former Docker Keeper Lamar Johnson.

After the game Manager Gary Henty commented " I thought we defended really well and were unlucky not to get the 3 points. Pleased to get back to back clean sheets against two teams vying for playoff spots"
