Hi Mickey - Yea those were the days - the old VP Club( under the stand ) we had some great times there - both football and social. We used to get crowds of about 700 then when we had the grassy bank - where the monstrosity called the clubhouse stands now. One of our favourite songs used to be;;

As I was walking down the St.Chads Road I saw 2 brand new faces,
they said to me we're off to see the famous Tilbury aces,
So I took them down to the Dockend Boys to see the great eleven,
and they said to me oh can this be my Dockers heaven.

I really hope we get this F*****g mess sorted out soon and get on with the business of putting Tilbury where the should be on the football map.

you asked for names so here goes - My name is Paul Smith. I Started watching Dockers in 1964 and served on the Supporters Club Committee from 1973 doing turnstile duty , raffles etc . I served on that Committee for 4 years until it was disbanded by the club due to differences of opinion.(Sound familiar!!!). Carried on watching the dockers home and away until 1991 when I moved to Wales with my job.

Tilburys is always the first result I look for and this website has been great help for me.

Lets hope this situation is sorted out soon and that Dockers continue - and continue to do well.

When things are back on an even keel for both clubs, and we end up playing each other in a cup or (hopefully) the same league, we'll hate each other for 90 minutes and then go for a beer afterwards. Thats the proper way in non league footy, we care as well you know

It may be biased on my side but i sincerely hope Grays dont share our ground next year.

Only because our succesful youth teams will suffer the most (but apparantly our new Manager is a youth man so perhaps not eh ? )

Anyway oldmutt, hope it turns out well for you, although we hate you, you know we care as well

Hopefully we will find out exactly on Monday ... we have rumours and counter rumours flying around at the moment, you know what its like in non league footy. By the time the rumours have finished we'll be playing at Wembley

Not yet mate, we have a fans meeting on Monday to find out or at least talk about it. Trouble is we only have til 13th May to inform the authorities where we are playing ..... and we all know what those cronies are like.

Just hope all goes well for both teams ..... then we can get back to playing and supporting football, and the rivalries.

We won't come on here to gloat or bait you. We empathise with you and hope you get things sorted aa quick as possible. No fan deserves to be left out in the cold like what has happened to you lot.

As i said wouldnt it be nice to know who is posting what,I dont really see the point in going on a fans forum having a chat with people but not letting them know who you are,WHAT IS THE POINT.

Just been reading through some posts on here about whats happening to OUR club an ive read some posts an replys not knowing who they are from etc,Like a post from golf ball and the dock end (no disrespect golf ball and the dock end) but its nice for everyone to know who they are talking to when they speak on here,I know who the dock end is but aint got a clue who some people are on here cos of there names,Unless your hiding from the old bill lol i think it would be much easier for people to have there NORMAL names like chester,lea,mickey etc.Im sure over the next few weeks there will be a lot of things happening with OUR club an there will be lots of views on here,So would be nice to know who is saying what.
