Romford 0 Tilbury 3 (Att 113)Tilbury returned to winning ways with a convincing 3-0 victory at local rivals Romford on Saturday. Tilbury went into the game with an unchanged line up on a warm afternoon.Both sides made a bright opening with Conor Mead firing just wide from distance before visiting keeper Clarke Bogard kept his side level with a fine double save. On 14 Barnwell was again denied by Bogard.Tilbury took the lead on 17 when Emiel Aiken played the ball through to Harry Cook who beat the offside trap and ran through to score past Gooch to score a fine goal.Just before the half hour a dangerous Kurt Smith corner was well tipped over by Gooch, before both Barry and Boswell had good chances for the home side. On half time a Conor Mead cross found Aiken whose header was well tipped over. Romford started the second half brightly with Barnwell hitting wide and Akpele causing problems. Tilbury's only clear chance before the hour was Joe Nightingill hitting over from a corner. Tilbury made two substitutions and never looked back with Richmond and Martin both adding energy to the forward line. On 68 Francis Babalola hit a low effort at goal, before Tilbury increased the lead on 75 when substitute Neil Richmond back flicked the ball into the box and Emiel Aiken turned the defender in the box and fired home to the delight of the Tilbury supporters behind the goal. With 5 minutes remaining and Romford pushing, Babalola hit a ball from inside his own half and Neil Richmond ran the length of the half unchallenged to slot past the helpless Gooch to secure a fine away victory.In the final few minutes Tilbury kept the ball and confirmed there 6th point of the season and sit in 6th place in the league.Manager Gary Henty commented after the game "I am very pleased with the result and a clean sheet"Tilbury welcome Great Wakering Rovers on Tuesday in the Ryman League Cup. 7.45pm kick off.TeamBogard, Mead, J Cook (Webb 75), Nightingill, D Smith, Game, Babalola, Carlile, H Cook (Richmond, 59), Aiken (Martin, 79, K SmithUnused Subs: Pooley and Awokoya
