NEWS FROM THE CIRCUS.
GRAYS Athletic have announced that club owner Andy Swallow is to step in and take over team affairs on a short term basis.
The Ryman Premier club have been on a poor run of form that has seen them slump down the table after a superb start to the season.
With relegation now threatening, Club Chief Executive Joel Nathan has announced that Swallow will take over team affairs from manager Ryan Kirby – who will continue as coach.
Mr Nathan’s statement says: “Due to Ryan Kirby’s heavy workload , we have decided that Andy will step in to run the team and source new signings with immediate effect.
“This allows Ryan to keep his input and continue to coach the team and will also allow him to play more regularly. They will work closely together with Andy taking the team tomorrow night.
“New signings are currently in progress and will be announced soon.
“The club will work tirelessly to get us out of our current predicament
!This is not a long term fix and we hope this help Ryan in the short term.”
