Maldon & Tiptree 0 Tilbury 0 (Att 137)

Under new Dockers manager Marc Harrison, Tilbury earned a well deserved point, in a game they dominated from start to finish, but could not find the net.

Tilbury gave four debuts, Joe Burgess, Oli Spooner, Darren Philips and Tommy Barton and all settled in and contributed to a hard working performance.

Tilbury took the game to high flying Maldon and Tiptree and inside 5 minutes saw Mitchell Gilbey fire wide after a good move, before the best chance of the game falling to defender Abdus Salami who somehow tapped over after Darren Phillips headed down inside the 6 yard box.

Tilbury were on the front foot and Gilbey again went close on 24 when he fired at the keeper. On 27 Lewis Smith picked up on a defensive mistake and saw his effort go just over the top.

Early in the second half, Oli Spooner saw his close range effort well saved. Gilbey was in the thick of the action and either side of the hour saw efforts saved by home keeper McNamara.

On 70 Kris Newby saw his left foot effort, go wide.

Maldon came into the game late on, without troubling Rhys Madden.

Tilbury's first point in 6 league games, sees them move up one place to 18th. The Dockers are back in action on Tuesday night when they entertain basement side Witham Town.

Tilbury: Madden, Boswell, Burgess, Spooner, Phillips, Salami, Newby, Barton (Anderson 70), Gilbey, Norman and Smith
