Tilbury 1 Brentwood Town 0 (Att 110)

Tilbury regained their good home form when they snatched a late winner to grasp all three points in a competitive encounter, over in form Brentwood Town at Chadfields.

The result sees Brentwood go down to only their second league defeat in 23 matches.

Tilbury had to reshuffle due to unavailability of centre half's Sam West and Joe Nightingill and striker Neil Richmond.
In a quiet opening, Elliott Johnson and Harry Cook both had half chances for the home side. The major talking point of the game came on 14 minutes when Brentwood midfielder Ngandu went through on Danny Smith a little high and was sent off. In the resulting melee Tilbury's Harry Cook was also dismissed for retaliation. With both sides down to 10 men, there seemed to be more space, but both sides could not take the advantage.
Brentwood finished the half strongly with Sam Bantick's curling free kick on the half hour, well saved by Jack Giddens. just before the break, Bantick's cross found the head of Sherwin Stanley whose header hit the post. Brentwood again struck the woodwork on the hour when O'Rawe hit from 6 yards.
Then Dockers made substitutions and it was the turning point of the game. Francis Babalola who has been out injured for a number of weeks gave the visiting defence problems in the final 15 minutes. His first involvement saw a dangerous cross evade a number of players. With 10 minutes remaining Babalola hit a rasping effort from distance, but was denied by a fine Bowles save. Tilbury continued to dominate with the introduction of Emiel Aiken and Ryan Flack and with just one minute remaining Babalola sent over another cross and Emiel Aiken rose and flicked home with the help of a slight deflection into the roof of the net.

The final seconds were played out and Tilbury move up 3 places to 16th.

After the game Manager Gary Henty said "I am delighted with the deserved result. I am also pleased with a clean sheet against a good Brentwood side"

Tilbury are back in action on Tuesday, when they make the short trip to Aveley 7.45pm kick off.
