Bishops Stortford 1, Tilbury 1 (Att 130)
Bishops Stortford won 8-7 on penalties

There was penalty shoot-out disappointment for Tilbury after a marathon affair at the ProKit UK Stadium on Tuesday night.
Up against a side riding high in the Premier Division, Division One North Dockers looked on for an upset after they grabbed the lead with just over 20 minutes of the Velocity Trophy tie left when Lewis Smith scored, firing home from 20 yards.
The advantage lasted just seven minutes before Hussain Jaffa had the misfortune to hit the ball into his own net when trying to defend a cross from Jamie Cureton.
That set up a penalty shoot-out after 90 minutes. Smith took the first and scored, as did the next 13 players as the tally went to 7-7. Jack Carlile, Kris Newby, Harry Norman, Siju Odelusi, Simon Peddie and Joe Paxman successfully converting for the visitors.
However, the tide turned when Morisi Gelashvilli’s struck his effort was saved by Patrick Ohman and then Cureton wrapped up the win with the next kick.
Tilbury had more than matched their hosts throughout the 90 minutes of this second round tie.
Though Bishops probably edged the first half, especially with a fierce shot from Kyprianou who saw an outstanding save from Jamie Merralls in the Tilbury goal, but the Dockers shaded the second and were somewhat aggrieved soon after the resumption when Harry Kyprianou was only cautioned, when there appeared a good case to dismiss for a challenge that prevented a goalscoring opportunity.
After the drama of the two regulation time goals, Bishops came close to winning it when Alfie Mason hit the woodwork and they also had strong 90th minute claims for a penalty when Cureton was brought down in the box but their appeals were waved away.
Right at the death Norman spurned a glorious chance to win it for the Dockers, but he missed from two yards out and then it was down to the lottery of spot-kicks.

On Saturday Tilbury welcome Bedford Town in the FA Trophy.

Tilbury: Merralls, Salami, Gelashvilli, Peddie, Jaffa, Jaggs (Norman 81), Paxman, Carlile, Aromolaran (Odelusi 63), Smith, Keith (Newby 90).

Subs unused: Putt and Anderson.
