Tilbury 1 Haringey Borough 1 (Att 74)

Promotion chasing Haringey Borough continued there good run with a single goal victory over a battling Tilbury side on Tuesday evening. Tilbury will be disappointed after dominating the match for long periods.

Tilbury should have made more of several clear cut opportunities in the first half, as they took the game to the visitors.

On 5 minutes Dwade James had a half chance before captain Jack Carlile saw his effort on 16 go straight at the keeper. With Tilbury dominating Charlie Little will feel he could have done better on 54 when he ran through but struck the side netting.

Haringey started to threaten and scored the all important goal on 62 when Derek Asamoah cleverly back flicked home after a corner that was not cleared.

The visitors committed a number of fouls to break up the Tilbury play as they pushed hard.

On 75 Tilbury made a triple substitution and saw some good late chances from James and Joe Paxman. The last 5 minutes saw Tilbury camp in Haringey's penalty area, but could not get the all important goal.

The result sees Haringey remain 4th, with Tilbury in 19th.

Tilbury travel to Heybridge Swifts on Saturday.
