Tilbury 2 Soham Town Rangers 0 (Att 68)

Tilbury scored a goal at the end of each half to take all three points over in form Soham Town Rangers.

Tilbury went in to the game making just one change from there line up after last week's goalless draw with AFC Sudbury, with Charlie Little replacing Kris Newby. The visitors had a good chance inside the first minute when Marcus Hall hit wide. It was then Toby Aromolaran who was in the thick of the action, when on 3 minutes he weaved in and out only to see his effort fired at the keeper. Seconds later the same player had another fierce effort, missing the goal by a whisker.

The last action of the half fell to Tilbury with good link up play from Aromolaran and Adam Vyse, seeing visitors keeper Joshua Pope saving well. As half time approached, Tilbury were awarded a free kick on the left side of the penalty area. Jack Carlile floated the ball into the box towards Adam Vyse who headed, only to see Kurt Smith scoring from close range.

The visitors were having the better of the play in the opening stages of the second half as Clayton and Mulready twice having opportunities to equalise. Russell and Kaye also came close whilst up the other end Smith and Aromolaran firing wide from distance. Both sides made changes and moments after coming on, Lewis Jaggs forced Pope into a low diving save with ten minutes remaining. Vyse then fired over with an angled shot, before having a header come back off the bar in the final minute from a corner.

Tilbury sealed the win, deep into injury time when they were awarded a penalty after Pope fouled Aromolaran as the attacker made a run into the area; Jack Carlile made no mistake with his spot kick, sending Pope the wrong way.

The result sees Tilbury move up to 16th and in the pack at the centre of the league table. Tilbury travel to the leaders AFC Hornchurch next Saturday.

Tilbury: Bogard, Odelusi, Gleed, Peddie, Salami, Anderson, Little (Jaggs 77),Carlile, Vyse, Smith and Aromolaran.
