Tilbury 2 Ware 1 (Att 85)

Tilbury achieved there second double of the season with a 2-1 victory over Ware in a tight affair, with goal chances a plenty.

On a sticky pitch following the recent rain, both sides created chances.

Tilbury started with urgency and inside 2 minutes there was a scramble in the box, with Vyse and James going close. Ware's Harley Haag was then denied by Clarke Bogard, saving at his feet.

On 22 Tom Anderson looked to open the scoring, but his rasping shot went just over the top. After a good spell Tilbury took the lead on 25 when a Kurt Smith corner from the right was bundled home by defender Siju Odelusi for his second in a week.

It should have been 2-0 on 28 when a good shot by Dwade James was saved low by Malone who spilt to the onrushing Adam Vyse, but he somehow shot over the bar.

Ware started to move the ball around and were back on level terms on 36 when Laurent's through ball found Harley Haag who shot into the corner of the net .

Tilbury drew first blood after the break as on 48 a ball down the left found Dwade James who crossed for Toby Aromolaran who shot past the exposed Malone to regain the lead for his team.

Ware slowly recovered, Abdulla's powerful shot on 56 minutes being the start of a good period of Ware pressure. Moments later Laurent had a chance with a long range effort and Kamanan was next with a fierce shot that was palmed away by Bogard.

On 66 Ware went close as Green hit towards goal, only to see Jack Carlile on the line to clear with his head.

Ware were dealt another blow when former Tilbury youth player Acea Laurent received a second yellow card on 74 for a tackle and was dismissed.

Seconds later substitute Charlie Little could have put the game out of sight when his struck the inside of both posts

Ware pushed hard for an equaliser, but could not break down the Tilbury defence.

The result sees Tilbury move up to 16th. Tilbury welcome AFC Sudbury next Saturday.
