Tilbury made it back to back league wins for the first time this season, with a comfortable 3-0 victory over basement side Romford.

Kris Newby was restored to the side following injury and it was Tilbury who wasted no time in taking the lead. On 4 minutes captain Adam Vyse sent a ball through to Toby Aromolaran who ran on well to score. Adam Vyse also went close on the half hour, before Romford came into the game at the latter end of the half.

Tilbury came out all guns blazing after the break, which saw a quick Jack Carlile free-kick finding Joe Turpin who saw his header go wide. On 61 a good move saw Vyse again make an opportunity for Aromolaran who shot home to make his personal tally of 4 goals in 2 games. Seconds later Nzengo saw a good chance fly over the top. On 70 Tilbury made it 3. This time Aromolaran was the provider as he ran through, before playing the ball back to Adam Vyse to smash home past the helpless Steve Reynolds. Kris Newby then saw his chance well saved, before Clarke Bogard was called upon to smoother an Ojal- Oso effort.

On 81 a good move saw Aromolaran flicking the ball back to Newby who fired just wide.

Tilbury created numerous chances in the final 5 minutes with Newby again going close with a bullet effort.

After the game a pleased manager Joe Keith said "It was a sloppy first half performance, but controlled the second half and did well, especially going forward. Merry Christmas to all"

The result sees Tilbury move up two places to 15th. Tilbury return to action on Wednesday, when they make the short hop to Brentwood Town.
