To me I would keep no more than 6 to be honest . Some of the wages being paid are not being earned . How can players not turn up or be injured etc then walk straight back in the team ? Just shows how weak the squad is . better having 16 players on £50 a week then 4 or 5 on over a £100 that have no pressure on then turn up and play .

Agree 100% a lot of names floating around the club yesterday, we do need someone who will bring some new faces in. That is not being disrespectful to the current squad or acting manager, we have some very good players that I hope stay under the new manager and hopefully bring in new players to replace the ones not quite good enough. We are not to short of a good side.

The club need to appoint a manager from outside not from within . John Sussex is a great bloke but for tilbury to go forward it needs a manager that has no favourites and starts with a blank canvas . Brings on who he thinks he need and moves on who he don't .

Henty, Smith, Young, resign.
Tilbury FC are sad to announce that following today's 4-0 defeat at Potters Bar Town in the FA Trophy, manager, Gary Henty, tendered his resignation.
Gary has been in the post for 3 years, since taking over from Paul Vaughan.
During the 2015/16 season, the team showed great improvement, being as high as 5th, on the back of a very long unbeaten run. This included good runs in both the Essex Senior Cup and FA Trophy, with no fewer than 3 National League sides being defeated.
Assistant Manager Danny Smith and Coach George Young have also left the club.
Club Chairman Danny Nash commented "The club would like to thank Gary, Danny and George for their excellent service to the club and wish them all the very best"
Tilbury FC will make a further statement on 8th October on the way forward.
