Tilbury 2 Waltham Abbey 1 (Att 75)
Tilbury for the second successive game, came from behind to win and top the form guide for September.

Manager Gary Henty made a single change to his line up, with Kurt Smith returning to the side in place of suspended captain Jack Carlile.

Tilbury did start the game brightly with Tony Martin denied by Lewis Lockyer. Logan had a great chance on 18, but miss hit when in front of goal. Midway through the half, Tilbury had two chances in as many minutes, Aromolaran saw his effort saved, before Martin again headed just over.

The visitors had a good period before the break, but the sides went in level.

It was a close fought start to the second period and it was Waltham Abbey who struck on 66 minutes. A corner from the left, found Billy Holland at the back post unmarked to nod home. On 75 Abbey could have sewn the game up when former Docker Ryan Flack got down the right and instead of unleashing on his right foot, he cut in on his left and his half hearted effort was deflected wide.

The introduction of Dwade James changed the game for the Dockers. Within 2 minutes of coming on, he was in the lead up play for the equaliser, as Emiel Aiken struck the post, but the ball fell to Conor Mead to fire home for a well deserved goal on an outstanding performance.

On 83 Tony Martin had another opportunity when his volley, was well saved for a corner. The next attack could have seen Abbey take all the points when Russell saw his effort hit the bar and Ryan Flacks follow up header was goal bound before Lee Butcher made an outstanding save. With just a minute to goal, Tilbury won the game. Richmond crossed from the left and the ball fell to the feet of Dwade James who flicked home. In injury time Tilbury kept the ball well and saw them take there tally of 10 points in the 10 days.

The result sees Tilbury move up to 7th, just outside the play off places. Tilbury travel to Brightlingsea Regent on Saturday.

Tilbury: Butcher, C Mead, Conway (J Cook 49), Peddie, Benoit, Singh, Aromolaran (James 76), K Smith, Richmond, Martin (Odedoyin 90), Aiken.

Unused subs: Willis and D Smith
