East Thurrock United 2-0 Tilbury.Tilbury completed there pre season programme with a 2-0 defeat in the Robin Nash Memorial Trophy played at East Thurrock.Both sides had limited chances early and it took until 24 minutes when Harry Cook blazed over when he was in the box. 10 minutes later the same player was denied by an excellent save save by the home keeper. Before the break Newby struck the post for the home side and Tilbury's Bogard had to save well, as the Dockers shaded the first period.The game came to life on 51 when a long ball was played to Harry Honesty who ran through to slot home past Bogard. East Thurrock had few chances including Ollie Hanlon saving the Dockers with a goal-line clearance. With the Dockers pushing for an equaliser, the hosts broke crossed from the left and with Danny Smith trying to clear came off his leg and into his own net.After the game Manager Gary Henty commented "It was a good workout against a side who will do well this season. I was pleased with the first half performance, but we are now ready for the season"Tilbury have now completed pre season and are in action next Saturday with the opening league game of the season at home to Wroxham. 3.00pm kick off.Tilbury Team:Clarke Bogard, Aziz Kanu, Ollie Hanlon (Lewis Grantham 74), Jake Pooley (Joe Nightingill 74), Danny Smith, James Awokoya (Matt Game 74), Hugo Jesus (Andy Edmunds 67), Jack Carlile, Harry Cook, Francis Babalola (Mustapha Kahie 77) and Emiel Aiken (Jimmy Cook 18)
