Tilbury goalkeeper Jack Giddens picks up the golden gloves accolade for JanuaryAfter being unveiled as the winner for January's Precision Golden Gloves Award, Jack will be presented with their ‘safe hands’ honours in the Ryman North at upcoming fixtures.The monthly 'safe hands' awards are sponsored by Nottingham-based Reydon Sports PLC, the UK's largest sports and leisure wholesale and distribution company. Through their Precision Goalkeeping brand, the stoppers will each receive a pair of Precision Goalkeeping gloves provided by ProKit UK, the nominated retailer administering the awards.Tilbury throughout January and into February have had one of the meanest defences in the league after conceding just twice in eight matches, which has seen former Maldon and Aveley keeper Jack Giddens side move up the table. It has been 450 minutes since the Dockers have conceded.On hearing the news Jack commented "I am delighted to win the award for January, the boys in front of me have been brilliant and made my job much easier.Tilbury Goalkeeping coach Mark Edwards also commented "I am really pleased for Jack, his effort and work rate has been top draw. Jack is an experienced keeper and makes the job working with him a pleasure. He understands what is required of him.
