Tilbury earned a valuable point at Ware on Tuesday evening to see their good run continue. Another clean sheet for the Dockers has now seen them not concede a goal in 450 minutes of Ryam North football and also including 7 out of the last 8 games. The Dockers for the first time in a long period, went in to the game with an unchanged line up, but did see the return of Captain Matt Game on the bench. The Dockers had the first effort of the evening when a Wood corner found Carlile on the edge of the box, but his effort was straight at the keeper. Tilbury were indebted to keeper Jack Giddens when on 10 minutes he saved well to deny Leon Fisher. The Dockers were dealt a blow on 13 minutes when Carlile had to be replaced by Game due to injury and this did unsettle the side as Ware plied pressure on a resolute Tilbury defence. Dacosta's right footed cross looked to have deceived Giddens at the back post before Fisher seconds later hit wide. Midway through the half Fisher hit towards goal, but was denied again, by a Nightingill clearance off the line. The best chance of the half fell to Robins who was played in and on a one on one, was beaten by a fine save from Giddens at his feet. The second period was a rugged affair with many stoppages for fouls. On 50 Tilbury were denied a penalty when Street seem to have nearly caught the ball in the box, but the referee waved any protests away. Tilbury did settle and started to create chances. Aiken headed wide before a good effort by Wood went just over. The resulting corner saw Richmond blaze over.On 77 the game flared up when home midfielder Khale Dacosta threw Harry Cook on the floor. The referee dismissed the player for a second yellow card and Harry Cook received a yellow card for his involvement. After a delay of 2 minutes that also included a spectator coming onto the pitch, Tilbury finished the game strong and in the final minute substitute Ryan Flack almost sealed the points when his low effort was a whisker away from goal. The result sees Tilbury remain in 12th place. After the game Tilbury Manager Gary Henty commented "I thought we were poor in the first half, but the second half we were the better side. We just lacked the final ball. Overall I am pleased with a point and yet another important clean sheet"Tilbury are back in action on Saturday when they welcome local rivals Thurrock to Chadfields 3.00pm kick off.Team:- Giddens, Webb, J Cook, Nightingill, Smith, Wood, Babalola (Flack 84), Carlile (Game 13), Richmond, Martin (H Cook 77), AikenSubs not used: Johnson and Daniel
