Tilbury 1 Chatham Town 0
Tilbury made it 5 wins out of 6 with a single goal victory over a battling Chatham side. Tilbury made one change from their last match, with Wood replacing the
unavailable Babalola. Both sides struggled early on a heavy Chadfields pitch. The only serious efforts of the first period was a Liam Hickey header for the visitors. Bingham almost took the lead for Chatham when the Tilbury defence were caught sleeping and Bingham hit wide when he should have scored. Before the break in a lifeless first half, Tilbury captain Matt Game hit a shot straight at Nicholls. The home side settled the better of the two after the break and took the lead on 51 when a good Emiel Aiken left footed cross found Neil Richmond just inside the penalty area, who finished off well past the diving Nicholls. Just passed the hour Aiken was again in the action when he blazed over after good build up play. Late in the game substitute Rimmel Daniel caused a few problems on the left and another substitute Jack West also causing problems for a tired defence. In the final minute defender Danny Smith cleared a last ditch effort. The Dockers continue to move up the table and another achieving another valuable clean sheet.

The result sees Tilbury move up to 12th and away from trouble.

After the game a pleased Tilbury Manager Gary Henty said "We defended well in difficult conditions and to let just 2 goals in the last 6 games, is good to see. February is a tough month, but we look a much better side"

Tilbury are back in action next Saturday when they make the long trip to Dereham Town - 3.00pm kick off.

Team:- Giddens, Webb, J Cook, Nightingill, Smith, Game (Flack 49), Wood, Carlile, Richmond (West 80), Martin (Daniel 75) and Aiken

Subs not used: Henty and Johnson
