Agree with Gary we deserved something from this game, and to be honest had a very good chance in the last minute to take a point. Sad

Tilbury 2 Harlow Town 3 (Att 100)

Tilbury lost their first home match in 5 by second place Harlow Town who came from behind to take the points. On a cold, but sunny afternoon there was only one clear chance in the opening quarter on a heavy pitch, with Tilbury's Harry Cook firing wide after 7 minutes. Harlow took the lead on 24 when Cowley played to Eadie who hit a cracking shot from 20 yards into the net giving Giddens no chance. 5 minutes before the break saw Tilbury equalise. A corner from Tom Wood found its way to Rimmel Daniel who looped his effort left footed into the net. This gave Tilbury confidence and straight after the restart, they took the lead. A cross from the right by Bradley Webb found Tom Wood just inside the box who swivelled and turned and struck low into the net. The game lacked any flow for a short period until Appiah ran in to the Tilbury penalty box just past the hour and was brought down, giving the referee no chance to point to the spot. Former Docker Alex Read smashed home. Harlow had a good period of play with Simms shooting over from a corner. Harry Cook had a speculative effort on 75 from 30 yards that the keeper saved. On 77 a Cowley corner was headed home unmarked by Sam Holloway to give Harlow the points. In the final minute debutants Neil Richmond and Tony Martin both had chances to equalise.
The result sees Tilbury drop 2 places to 17th.

After the game Manager Gary Henty said "I am disappointed with the result after the team worked so hard, but to come away with nothing is a blow to us.
Tilbury are back in action next Saturday, when they travel to Ware 3.00pm

Team:- Giddens, Webb, Cook J, Nightingill (Smith 70), S West, Game, Wood (Martin 80), Carlile, Richmond, Cook H and Daniel (Aiken 75
