Saturday was my worst game as a tilbury fan. Iv been coming over for 3 years now and I was ready to leave within the first 30 mins. Formation changed 3 times before Aaron went down. How the fuck can the boys play well when that happens. Aveleys manager is one smug fucker aswell. Like the comments from joe. Not seen the best of him yet maybe coz 1 day he's playing right winf back the next cb the next cm.

Tilbury 0 Aveley 4 Att 107

Aveley made smooth progress to the 2nd qualifying round of the FA Cup with a thumping victory over rivals Tilbury.

The visitors dominated from start to finish with some good flowing football with former Dockers Lee Weemes and Danny Francis causing problems, but the game was marred to a bad injury to Dockers captain Aaron Waters midway through the second half that caused a 50 minute delay.

Aveley started strongly and took the lead after just 6 minutes when Coyne played the ball into Lee Weemes who controlled the ball and beat Ramos. 4 minutes later Hopkins managed to get into the box without any tackle, laid the ball off to another former Docker Danny Francis who smashed in to the bottom corner. On 15 Okwera hit a flying effort towards goal but saved by Ramos. Aveley continued to attack and it was no surprise on 18 that they went further in front when a corner from Nesbitt found Marcus Elliott who directed his shot towards goal through a number of bodies and into the net.

Coyne again went close for Aveley when his long range effort was saved as they attacked at will. On 27 Wood was pulled back in the box by Baker, but the referee waved away a clear penalty for holding. Ryan Flack did start to find some space and two crosses from the left both found the six yard box but no Tilbury forward in sight.

Just before the break the game was out of sight when Weemes headed home his second of the afternoon after another cross from Billy Coyne to make it 4-0.

Tilbury had an early chance just after the break when substitute Tyler Hubbard hit wide of the target. Nesbitt went close on 50 as they continued to take the game to Tilbury.

The game had a lengthy delay of over 45 minutes in the 68th minute when Weemes and Waters both challenged for the ball, with no contact, Waters landed awkwardly and was unable to move. Due to the delay, both sets of players left the pitch before an ambulance took Aaron Waters to hospital. After the restart the remaining 22 minutes were played with very little action and the game petered out and Aveley left Chadfields £3,000 better off.

After the game Tilbury midfielder Joe Christou said "A bad day at the office. The boys let the club down"

Nice to see Joes apologies on the official clubs website, and players must take some of the blame for Saturday dreadful display. No comments from the manager he must have been happy with it or concentrating on other matters
The management team are solely responsible for team selection and the formation of play ie players played out of position and a formation that does not suit us.

We need results and not excuses and bull shit. I can't see why he persists with
352, he needs to go before another season of mediocrity falls upon us. I hope we don't start losing good players
because with someone who plays to the
Right system with the player's we have
we could at least finish in the top ten. Everything is looking good from the club house to the pitch, its just the manager and his 3 5 poxy 2 that needs sorting out.

But the manager said to a few of us 2 weeks ago that 3-5-2 is working much better than 4-4-2 Shocked

Its disgusting to see performances like that, I walked out after 18 minutes and im glad i did. Surely there isn't much more the fans and owner can put up with shows like this.

Sounds as if Scholesy will be fine, looked horrible when he was laying on the ground, A bit of good news from a horrible day.

We have not got any idea playing 352 and we need to go 442 sooner rather than later. I also think we need a manager who's sole purpose is running the first team, good luck to Paul I am sure he's making a good living out of Tilbury Football Club but after four years he and the team should have been a lot better than they are.The next three league games are all winnable and it will be very interesting to see what formation he plays. It was nice to see a few faces for the first time this season but after such a clueless performance I shouldn't think they will be rushing back.Any one got a spare seat for Tommorow night please let me know. Must be Fucking mad.

Got done playing 3 5 2 !!! we do not have any wing backs to play that system. Aron waters is not a left side center half he is a full back. you could see that by the four goals coming down the same side today. paul v should have gone to 4 4 2 after the second goal went in it would have steadied the ship and given the side something to build on. but sticking with the 3 5 2 was just comiting suicide. going in 4 nil down was game over. speaking to some aveley players today they said he tried 3 5 2 at the start then went back to the 4 4 2 and the side have not lost since. just gose to show you should play to your teams strengths and not you egos. see you all tuesday
