PAUL Vaughan says his Tilbury side are ready for the new season.

Dockers announced the signing of four new additions to the squad on Wednesday.

Emiel Aiken, 29, has made a return following a year at Redbridge. The forward has previously played 93 games for Tilbury, scoring 21 goals. Before that, he played at professional level in Cyprus.

Goalkeeper George Kamurasi has also joined Dockers. The 23-year-old stopper has played at Brentwood Town, Potters Bar and Tilbury's borough rivals Grays Athletic where his unorthodox techniques saw him warm to fans.

Defender Bradley Vaughan, 21, has also joined ahead of the new league campaign.

Perhaps the most important signing for the Chadfields side, however, is Ben Hunt.

The 24-year-old striker has previously featured for Bishop Stortford, Gloucester City, Lewes, Dover Athletic and Weston-super-Mare and is a proven non-league goal scorer. During preseason, he notched five goals for his new club.

On Tuesday night, Tilbury lost their final pre-season friendly to 1-0 East Thurrock United.

The game was the first ever Robin Nash Memorial Trophy - which remembered Tilbury's former chairman. He passed away last October.

Tom Stephen, the Rocks full back, scored the game's only goal direct from a corner.

But now Vaughan wants his players to focus on the league. Tilbury start their campaign at home to Brightlingsea Regent on Saturday.

“I was pleased overall with the performance against a Ryman Premier side," Vaughan said. "Pre season is now done and we must focus on League points. I am pleased I now have a settled squad."

Kick off is at 3pm on Saturday.

Tilbury squad vs East Thurrock United:

Driscoll, Pooley, Waters, Nightingill, Vaughan, Christou, Hunt, Carlile, J West, Cutler and Babalola Cook, Aiken, Flack, Webb, Wood and Aldwinckle.

So that's a new keeper in. Good news
