Well Needham Market and Heybridge Swifts have both left st chads road with all the points. The "DOCKERS" do not score a goal and that makes it 9 out of the last 11 without scoring, and only 1 win. The loss v Needham was played against 10 men for 75 mins and we still failed to score. The match v Heybridge tonight sees us pass 50+ players this season, must have cost the club a fortune in signing on fees, still if its not coming out of your pocket I don't suppose you give a shit do you.
Its gone past a joke now, and a lot of people have had enough, last home game Easter Monday home v Cheshunt 15.00.  bom "KEEP THE FAITH" bom

Three points and a couple of goals at last, maybe Danny will start more games between now and the end of the season. Along with Danny, I thought Ryan and Francis had a very good game "baba" did not stop running all afternoon. I for one will not be getting carried away with this one win out of the last eight games. unlike some people in the clubhouse after the game. This one result in my opinion has just papered over the cracks and unless results improve between now and the end of the season then I am afraid changes need, and must be made for the good of Tilbury Football Club. Romford are on a good run of form at the moment but I would not say they are any thing special currently sitting 11th in the league. The next two home games v Needham Market and Haybridge Swifts will be more of a test, and give the "TEAM MANAGEMENT" a chance to convince fans that they should even be considered to lead the "DOCKERS" into next season, we shall see.

Tilbury 2 Romford 1 (Attendance 75)

Tilbury returning to winning ways over form side Romford on Saturday. Both clubs have been under different fortunes recently, with Romford winning all of there last 8 games and Tilbury gaining just one point in the last 7, which also saw Tilbury failing to find the back of the net, but the Dockers came away with a well deserved 3 points.

Romford started brightly with Woodward striking the bar inside 3 minutes, before the Dockers took the lead on 10 minutes when Blackman got inside the box, found Danny Aldwinckle who rounded the keeper to score. 2 minutes later Tom Wood saw his effort well saved as Tilbury dominated. On 21 Piers Wixon was denied by the bar when his rasping shot bounced to safety. Before the break Richardson headed just wide of Marrable's goal before the effective Aldwinckle had his low shot cleared off the line by Oates. Only the brilliance of visiting keeper Omand denied the Dockers more goals in the first period as he denied both Milbourne and Wixon. As expected after the break Romford came at Tilbury and Richardson again went close with a header before George Woodward sent in a looping free kick that saw it go over Marrable into the net. Blackman's direct corner caused concern seconds later as it hit Omand directly before going to safety. Tilbury went back in front on 57 when a back pass saw both Romford keeper and defender miss the ball, leaving Aldwinckle the easy task to tap into an empty net. Wood was denied by Omand on the hour before Nick Reynolds almost equalised on 76 when he volleyed wide. With 7 minutes remaining substitute Jamie Dicks miss hit his shot from 6 yards. Then a cross from Richardson found its way into the net but was ruled out as the ball had gone out of play. Both sides had good chances late in the game, but good defending saw the Dockers take the points.

After the game a delighted manager Paul Vaughan said "A all round good performance from the lads. The boys came in early before the game and were up for it from word go. It was a good result for the club after a difficult couple of weeks of poor results"

Tilbury travel on Tuesday to play Waltham Abbey 7.45pm kick off. The result moves the Dockers up one place to 17th place.

Tilbury: Marrable, Glasgow, Obersteller, Owen (Johnson 60), S West, Blackman, Milbourne (Folarin 74), Wood, Aldwinckle, Wixon, Babalola

Subs unused: Waters
