Tilbury 0 Chatham Town 2 (Attendance 61)
Tilbury suffered a rare home defeat to Chatham on Tuesday evening in a game that was flat for both sides. Joe Nightingill was restored to the side following suspension but the evening was another bad day for the centre half as he was dismissed in the final minute.
Chatham had the better of the opening when they almost took the lead with a header that rolled along the line. The opener was scored on 52 when Ade Yusuff picked up a long ball and beat Marrable. It became 2-0 shortly after when a long ball through again this time found Lee Hales who shot over Marrable into the net. Yusuff and Bradshaw both brought off some good saves by Marrable in the home goal, before Tilbury were dealt a late blow when Joe Nightingill picked up his 2nd yellow card and was sent off, leaving the player with another suspension.
The result sees Tilbury move down the league to 18th and are back in action on Thursday evening when they welcome play off hopefuls Harlow Town to Chadfields.
Tilbury: Marrable, Johnson, Owen (Aldwinckle 68 ), Nightingill, S West, Christou, Babalola (Waters 79), J West, Wixon, Blackman (Austin 78) and Obersteller
