Tilbury upset play off hopefuls Soham Town Rangers with a good performance on a heavy Chadfields pitch. With the overnight rain, the referee made 2 inspections before giving the go ahead. Soham arrived at Chadfields on the back of some good results but played the last 28 minutes with 10 men. The Dockers gave a second debuts to both Jack West and Joe Obersteller and also gave a first 90 minutes to defender Ross Owen who never let his side down. Tilbury started strongly with Harrison Tweddell shooting from distance before the visitors had a number of corners. The Dockers opened the scoring on 16 when the very effective Piers Wixon cross field pass found the busy Ryan Blackman to shoot home on the outside of his right foot. The visitors had the ball in the net on 19 when McCabe shot home only to see the offside flag. Before the break Tweddell and Wixon both had good efforts on goal. On 55 Wixon was agin in the action when a good move found him in space and he fired just wide of the goal. On the hour Obersteller had his shot brilliantly saved by Ordonez. Within a minute the game livened up when a strong tackle by Blackman saw Jordan Gent sent off for a flaying arm. The Dockers kept up the pressure and kept the ball for long periods and Tilbury had to wait until a minute into injury time when substitute Francis Babalola sprinted through not for the first time, but on this occasion was brought down in the box and the referee pointed to the spot. Man of the Match Piers Wixon stepped up to fire home and give the Dockers a well deserved victory.

After the game Manager Paul Vaughan commented "Great result against a good football side. The lads played some good football and played in the right areas. The whole side deserve credit for there effort.
The result sees Tilbury remain in 14th. Tilbury are back in action on Tuesday when they welcome Harlow Town.
