The more you think about it, the more it annoys you that the club have not moved on to a higher level. I have said, and will always maintain if "CHESTER" had been supported by the so called committee, he would of without a doubt taken Tilbury FC to at least the Ryman Premier. Everyone will be aware, that the players budget gets cut on a regular basis. There are some of us who remember the budget being cut during the run in of the play off season and the supporters club were contributing to ALEX REEDS wages, to keep him at the club until after the play offs. This to me is not a problem the supporters are there to support and help the club in anyway we can. But it once again showed lack of ambition from the committee. I hope tomorrows game at home to Heybridge Swifts goes ahead, we have not played at home this year. There will be a pitch inspection in the morning. Some good comments, remarks, opinions, and facts posted over the last few days, that's what forums are for keep them coming in. "KEEP THE FAITH"

If you go back to the graham Chester years, he did well winning the cups, but again his playing budget never changed then the committee sacked him for what ever reason you want to believe, they replaced him with a very inexperienced manager in paul vaughan most of the players from the cup winning side left. Again a display of no ambition, to his credit paul vaughan quickly got tilbury to the play offs and we all now possibly promotion. The crowd that night showed the potential of having a successful team, the committee/chairman should have increased the playing budget and gone for promotion the next season, again this never happened and a large chunk of that talented squad left. My problem is that if the committee can't provide the resources to the manager then they should step aside and a new committee formed to move tilbury fc to the next level. But unfortunately the committee and chairmen pick there self which is all too cosy hence my comment earlier. I don't think paul vaughan is the man for the job, since his full time appointment with the academy his managerial ability seems to have gone. With no changes in the near future committee or management then I think it's only fair that either one of the committee or management team make a monthly statement on this forum or the website to keep the supporters updated with what's happening at the club, Ivor a while the support at tilbury increased both home and away but this no good committee is pushing tilbury back to the days where only 10 to 20 people turn up for home games.

Yes I agree, since reaching the play offs we have had 2 piss poor seasons, and I agree with other post that the turnover of players at the club is a joke. Whether that be for more money, wanting to play for a better club,  not getting on with Paul, or not wanting to play for Paul, we need to get a settled side and keep players, something Paul  does not seem to be able to do. We can only believe what we are told from the players that leave the club because it's  become a weekly occurrence for the last 2 seasons. The most recent example of this, we will go into Saturdays game with a 17 year old playing in goal for us for the first time v a team full of confidence and sitting 5th in the league.

We all have our opinions on "CHESTER" for whatever reasons, and we will never ever find out the truth behind his sacking. What I will say about him has a football club manager all his time went into managing the first team, and he certainly did not have any problems of getting  and keeping good players. Some of which are still playing to date in the ryman leagues. He also won other trophies  and was on a number of occasions ryman north manager of the month. "CHESTER" also came to the "DOCKERS" with previous honours at senior level.  Moving on to current "BOSS", Paul came to the "DOCKERS" with only youth football knowledge on his CV, but he got a good squad of players together, and showed enough ambition to take us to 3rd position and the play off's  of the ryman  league north. And I might had, on another night with a different referee we may have reached the play off final that season. Since then he has found it hard to keep good players at the club, and again for what ever reasons we can only listen to and form our own opinions on why they are leaving. At the moment getting Paul out would not be the right thing to do in my opinion, and he also has the full backing of the committee at the moment. What I think he needs to do is concentrate on stabilising the first team, which is the bread and butter of the club. I pay my £8 to watch ryman league football, you don't get a lot or expect a lot for £8. But what I would like in return for  donating my £8 and support to this fine organ of ours, is honesty from within the club itself. My hopes and ambitions for Tilbury Football Club will never ever materialise, but I will enjoy myself, along with a few other loyal "DOCKERS" and a few pints of ale dreaming them. I hope my opinion's neither offends or upsets anyone, but positivity comes from the heart.    "COME ON YOU DOCKERS"

I understand the paying £8 to watch Ryman League football but 2/3 years ago Tilbury were in the play offs and rightly so with a different ref maybe would have made the final but since then so many players good and bad have left and some have returned but surely the team should have pushed on rather than having 2 piss poor seasons ?

I personally haven't got anything against how the team are currently doing right now, The thing that bugs me is the high amount of players that have left the club because of the way Paul treats them, It's shocking some of the stories i have been told by some of the players themselves has taken away the little respect i had for him.

Too many players have left this team for another that's higher than us right now, Pretty much 95% of all these players have personally told me that they loved playing for Tilbury. Every single one told me that they had enough of 1 man, I will let you's work out who.

The other week it was claimed that Danny Francis & Lee Weemes was not scoring enough goals, The 2 top goalscorers the team had and believe it or not, BOTH players have joined clubs in a better position than Tilbury, Just like many have before.

I have nothing against having a brilliant youth set up, Im all for bringing in youngsters that play for the first team, But what is the point if these players then leave for clubs in a similar league to us for nothing? I understand the club probably makes a fair bit of money from the youth set up but i just cannot get my head around having to accept that we have a very poor first team because we have a brilliant academy.

But i suppose that if certain people are making a lot of money, It doesn't matter what any of us say or think.

From my point of view, I truly don't give a shit what happens anymore, Too much bullshit from people involved at the club, Nobody wants to talk to you when they lose but when they win they cannot wait to be in your face bragging about the win.

Massive shame, A few years ago there were quite a few very loyal fans that would travel week in week out but now sadly its just a handful of people that go as much as they can. (Fair Play To Them) I'l still go to the club and have a few beers with everyone because its what i enjoy doing, It's just a massive shame that a few people have ruined the football side of things, Not just for me, But for others too.

Dont give a shit if i've upset anyone, Talk to me in person if there's a problem.

It's the same old problem with tilbury, until the people running the club are removed and someone with ambition comes in then mid table Rymans north or essex senior league is all the supporters could hope for. The only reason the academy is there is so paul vaughan has a full time job, the academy is more to do with the school but connected to tilbury fc. No one will ever address the supporters because between the manager and the committee it's all become very cosy and they won't want to change that. But it's not just tilbury many clubs have found there self in this position. Players normally follow there favourite managers no matter who the club is, so the only way forward would be to sack paul vaughan bring in a experienced manager ie dave ross who will attract quality players who like to play for him, problem solved, but that won't happen. So many more unhappy seasons ahead unless the big change happens.

All you have got to do is look who it at Redbridge and who is at Witham ?
Dave Ross is at Redbridge the man that Vaughny said undermined him so he had to go! Even though the players themselves said it was Dave Ross who they listened to as far as team talks and motivation was concerned, and since he got the bullet the squad and results have slowly fallen apart.
And Kingy is at Witham who left cosas far as everyone knows wasn't getting a game for Tilbury even though he was by far the best centre half at the club !
People will say he left cos his brother is manager at Witham but if he aint getting picked at Tilbury you cant blame him for leaving.
As for the goalkeeping position i'm sure it will come down to fact 'Money' is involved somewhere down the line. The youth setup is providing players which have left Tilbury for other teams and i'm under the impression money is given to the club from the government to 'fund ' the Academy, but if these players are leaving for fuck all what is the point of a decent youth set up ?
I don't go to watch much now cos I cant be bothered with the total lack of ambition to provide a team worthy of paying £8 to watch. I do know that there a people in the crowd that are very passionate about the team and deserve an explanation as to what the plans are for players, because the turn over is a joke.

In the position Witham Town are in, maybe I can just see why players would leave Tilbury to go there. But why the fuck would you want  go to Redbridge.
It cannot be money surly, both Witham and Redbridge attendances are much the same as ours. We must be able to offer the same sort of money they get
at Witham and Redbridge, although I have spoken to a few players that have left the "DOCKERS" and there leaving the club has been nothing to do with money.
Also I was under the impression that James was at Brentwood Town to regain match fitness, he must of regained match fitness by now. has he not been offered the chance to come back now that "CHICO" has left for Dulwich (of witch I do get) I think not, and he will be another good player, along with the other 13 or so that played in the Witham Redbridge game Tuesday night that we have lost this season. We have not played at home this year, so lets hope this fucking rain stops and  we can get a game on Saturday. I am sure everyone will give the new young keeper support, on the pitch and in the club house after the game. I hope I am wrong but I think if we do play, and he plays against a strong Heybridge Swifts side, it will do him more harm than good. drunken  "KEEP THE FAITH" drunken
