Not being funny but is there any forwards left at the club now? He should go for someone like Joel Barnett, Scored goals for us before and unlike many others, Puts in some effort for the team.

That's my point mate, we go in to Saturdays game with no goal scorers. We could have kept Danny until we got another goal scorer in. And i know how good Cohen is from when he last played for us. It just seems to me that the "BOSS" cannot hang on to our decent players, and brings in players that are not wanted any place else. Another team will benefit from our so called "wonderful academy" with Ben Crooks being released. I have no right to question the academy set up but, i will again stress that long term any decent players that come through we don't keep them for long. And if the club are making any money from it, then surely it should be pumped into keeping the senior players at the club. The list of academy players that have moved on is endless. I hope the same does not happen to young Danny Aldwinkle, he looks very sharp, and although not the finished article looks a very good prospect. P.S. I am also aware that Danny Francis was not a prolific goal scorer but he was better than no goal scorer. I have heard he was a wonderful trainer and i liked him anyway. All the best to Danny and the other players that have "MOVED ON" this week. "COME ON YOU DOCKERS" bom

A large update on player movement including the clubs delight to announce the signing of winger, Greg Cohen.

Squad Update Cohen, 28, can play on either side and has played for East Thurrock, Canvey Island, Brentwood Town and the Dockers back in 2008.

In addition, Mitchell Gilbey has signed from East Thurrock United on a loan deal. The talented attacking midfielder is known for his blistering pace and an eye for goal and he has made an immediate impact in the few matches he has featured for us so far.

Danny Francis has left the club with immediate effect. The Dominican Republic forward, 28, scored 27 goals in 65 appearances since his debut in 2012.
On his departure, Danny gave his thanks to everyone at the club for all the work that has been done over the years.

Centre half, Ben Crooks, 20, has also left the club. Rising through the ranks of the club, he made his debut in 2011 and since he has made 47 appearences, scoring 1 goal.

Luke I'Anson has picked up a shoulder injury and is expected back at the end of the season.

Striker, Lee Weemes and Midfielder, James Zanelli have also been released. Joining in August, they made 27 and 17 appearances scoring 6 and 1 goal respectively.

Winger, Nathan Ashton has also moved on from the club following his 17 appearances, scoring 2 goals.

The club would like to thank all these players for their services to the team and we wish them all the best for the future.

Manager, Paul Vaughan is in talks with some players with a view to bringing them into the club.
